The Wildcatters – “Revenge”

Washington-based project The Wildcatters unleashes a stylish alt-rock and country hybrid on “Revenge,” building with palpable momentum amidst a narrative that “tells the story of a brother seeking justice for his slain sibling.” A fervent vocal establishes this tale, complemented by whirring guitar distortion that lends a swampy immersion alongside sturdy acoustics. “I see you beg for forgiveness, trust me I wish I cared,” the debonair vocals let out. “It doesn’t matter what you did to him, because revenge is my bitter friend.” A rousing rock arsenal pairs with a brooding, cinematic-feeling outpouring of vengeance for a thorough success from The Wildcatters.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
