MKSTN – “Omni Eyes”

/

Glistening synth arpeggios and a spacey, dreamy pop allure dazzle throughout “Omni Eyes,” a new single from Toronto-based producer MKSTN. The third single from his forthcoming album, CONTENT, “Omni Eyes” infuses a lush pop spellbinding with a soaring vocal presence, reminiscent of Tame Impala in its balancing of ethereality with bursting passion. Meanwhile, the trickling keys exude a swaying quality amidst hazy synths that bear a fond likeness to Beach House, particularly as the vocals reach the “days repeat now,” realization.

Featuring an emphasis on namesake’s instrument — the Omni Chord — “Omni Eyes” excels with its captivating sound, further propelled by the featuring of drums and percussion by Chino De Villa (Jessie Reyez) and Braden Sauder (Luna Li).

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Dream-Pop.
