Wyyrrd – “Pocketful of Dimes”

/

Brooklyn-based act Wyyrrd melds twangy rock charms and a glam-friendly throwback vigor on “Pocketful of Dimes.” The release marks the first single from their upcoming album. Led by songwriting duo Jeremy Batt and Tom Shemanski, Wyyrrd (pronounced like “word”) excel with a breezy, harmonious appeal. A debonair vocal lead initially ventures amidst soft acoustics and sporadic twangs, letting out “so much for the aperture.” Added vocal harmonies and more bursting guitar tones dazzle as the production progresses. “Pocketful of Dimes” is an inviting, melodic success from Wyyrrd.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
