Salt Lake City-based band Sunset Station hypnotize with an atmospheric rock appeal on “Decoys,” whose desert-set landscape moves with twangy entrancement amidst lyrical themes of identity and longing. A steady vocal subduedness expands into multiple soaring layers as the two-minute turn approaches, then venturing into a beautifully twangy guitar emphasis as the emotive final minute arrives. “Decoys” is another success from Sunset Station, after catching our ears last year with “Video Star.”
