Michael Sanders – “impression”

/

Austin-based artist Michael Sanders crafts a radiant, harmonious rock appeal on his new track “impression.” Fuzzy guitar delights combine with vocal layers that beckon to “come back,” — shifting into a hooky “let me do my best impression,” striving that invokes a classic psych-pop warmness and organs spurt in. A roaring guitar section takes hold at mid-point, showcasing a sturdy balance between rock ardor and psych-pop lushness. “Yeah if you wanna come back, well I am all right with that,” the vocals continue, driving into a sating conclusion with a final title-touting suaveness.

The track comes ahead of Sanders’ album fuzzer, out this summer. “This is my Austin album. Through these songs, I am reflecting back the parts of Austin and its music scene that I see in myself,” Sanders says.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
