BRUCK’LYN – “Moonshot”

/

A spacey electronic success from German/Spanish producer BRUCK’LYN, “Moonshot” unveils a pulsating progressive house appeal throughout. The project represents the alias of Joern Kocken, who notes the Kraftwerk album Die Mensch-Maschine as having a pivotal influence on his early musical upbringing. A life-long love for electronic music continued from there. BRUCK’LYN has released several successful singles over the past year, with four consecutive of them being No. 1 tracks in the international Hypeddit Charts. “Moonshoot” represents his latest success, immersing with a charmingly atmospheric pull.

The track begins with a brief sample from a JFK speech, where he champions for ambition — to do things “not because they are easy, but because they are hard,” — in the context of the moon landing. A series of illuminated synth trickling emerges thereafter alongside a simmering synth-bass, seamlessly building a soundscape fit for traversing the deep reaches of space. Vibrant house-ready percussion hits shortly thereafter, further bolstering the evident momentum. A more glistening, prancing synth tone takes hold around the two-minute turn, injecting an enjoyable eeriness before the familiarly warm synths re-integrate. “Moonshot” is an immersive, memorable listening experience from BRUCK’LYN.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Electronic.
