“Stuntman” is an experimental chamber-folk success from Albuquerque-based artist Brian Charles Nixon. Twinkling chimes, bells, and a string-laden intrigue envelops into sounds of horse hooves and neighing, exuding a chamber-pop intrigue thereafter as a swell of orchestration emerges. The “I’ll be your stuntman,” vocal amidst trickling instrumentation stirs, as does the “walk away,” ardency thereafter. “Stuntman” is a resonating overall success.
