A stirringly hypnotic rock sound glows on The Real Flower Pots‘ “Storm Shelter,” enthralling in its absorbing vocal harmonies and array of intriguing instrumentation — from twangy lap steel shimmering to illuminated keys. A psych-friendly spell takes hold from the get-go, with wordless vocal haunts and glistening instruments aligning cohesively within a warming rhythm section. “Already looked all over town,” the vocals let out into the gripping “sleeping in your storm shelter,” soaring hook. The production proves magnetic in its lovely vocal harmonies and immersive songwriting.
The track comes via the act’s upcoming album, Here Come The Real Flower Pots, out this spring. The Real Flower Parts formed in 2024, and is led by the talented duo of Patrick Meagher (Girl for Samson, YesNoYes, Hotel Radio, Hooray Henry!) and Johnny Marie (Girl for Samson, Big Perm, Lonesome Petunias, Boxes of Love, This Jungle, Porps, The Wilsons).
