The Afro Nick – “Get There Before Noon (LA mix)”

/

Los Angeles-based act The Afro Nick immerse on new single “Get There Before Noon (LA mix),” which fuses spacey synth frequencies amidst an infectious rock pulse. The stirring production pairs with an inspiring thematic push, described as “about making the most of life in the moment while you can.” The project is led by Greek musician Nick Anastasakis, who initially recorded the track in studios acros New York, before finalizing it in his Los Angeles home studio. Also comprising the act are Greek bass player George Athanas and NYC-based artist Leo Genovese.

Smoothly melodic guitar tones and bloopy synth tones build into an introspective vocal presence, building climactically and with hook-ready ardor. “I got to live this life, not yesterday,” Anastasakis sings, also impressing in the “one day,” multi-vocal push into the blaring guitar enjoyment. The debonair verses and invigorated chorus blend with an inspiring lyrical prowess and enveloping rock production for a thoroughly memorable showing from The Afro Nick. “You only have one life. You gotta do what you have to do and do it as soon as possible,” Anastasakis says of the track’s overall message, capturing an ethos that’s of universal benefit.
