The newest track from Lithuanian artist and producer Rushkeys, “Inner Flow” dazzles with an effervescent electronic glow. Danceable infectiousness and contemplative atmospherics are balanced with artful precision, a description apparent throughout the tracks on Wabi Sabi Records’ compilation Landforms Vol. 1, of which “Inner Flow” is a part. The project of Domas Ruškys, Rushkeys continues to enamor with a thoroughly convincing knack for moving electronic productions, evidenced here as well as past standouts like “High Tide” and “Maya.”
“Inner Flow” evolves with an enjoyably momentum-filled soundscape, infusing chilled-out electronic and deep house introspection. Quaint synth pulsations and a wintry backing breeziness combine elegantly, as gentle guitar strums build alongside a pit-pattering rhythmic presence. Echoed vocal samples emanate in the distance past the one-minute turn, by which point the rhythm section lends an intoxicating steady presence as the synths assemble in hypnotic form. Clanging synths past the two-minute mark add further to the climactic feeling, paused briefly before a satiating second half that continues a wintry, atmospheric entrancement.
