Orange Element – “Hotel (Wanderer)”

Chicago-based band Orange Element reveals a captivating sound across their new track “Hotel (Wanderer),” expanding from ghostly folk haunts into a chilling rock expanse. Caleb Gracyalny’s gripping vocal presence attains an eerily melodic prowess, reminiscent of Wild Beasts in the verses, while also showing a knack for invigorating emotion during the track’s highest ascents. Modoy guitar tones from Charlie Boyle combine with bassist Dylan Johnson and drummer Jerad Glore for an enveloping overall structural progression, stirring especially around 01:30 in the shift to lusher guitar introspection. “Hotel (Wanderer)” is a standout from Orange Element.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
