kevin. stuff. and things. – “The Air”

/

“The Air” is a newly released single from kevin. stuff. and things., touting an atmospheric and emotive charm within a layered synth-driven pop sound. Sporadic bass pulses move with a hypnotic warmness, while illuminated synth tones range from trickling vigor to spacey backing pads. “I’m trapped within a tidal wave, a world I can’t outrace,” the vocals stir, reminding fondly of Toro Y Moi in the uptick to the “silence is a tragedy,” declaration. Especially gripping is the lush bridge in the final minute, arriving to the “sitting on the stairs,” vocal layering. “The Air” is a resonating showing from kevin. stuff. and things.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
