A melding of soulfully melodic pop, UK garage hypnotics, and debonair hip-hop entrancement shows on “Its The Truth,” a new single from Exeter, England-based artist Jamcie. Songwriter and singer Abi Flynn also features on the track. Produced by Jman AKA Jamaal Francis, “Its The Truth” touts a compelling UK Garage appeal in its blend of electronic, soulful, and hip-hop components — drawing from the eclectic aesthetical ranges of Jamcie, Abi Flynn, and Jman. Themes of new love enamor alongside. “Having fallen in love again, the lyrics I put down on paper was an honest expression reflecting my new found love – it was a reflection of my current situation,” Jamcie says.
Flynn’s enchanting and soulful vocals open alongside twinkling piano, moving into a brisker percussive fade-in as the hip-hop vocal enters: “You got me addicted,” Jamcie declares, vibe-heavy in its electronic and hip-hop maneuvers. “You’re the major chord, that I’m finally hitting.” Flynn’s central hook weaves in seamlessly thereafter, striving to “move on,” as illuminated keys and meditative rhythms complement. Stutter-y “try to move on,” pitch manipulation furthers the enthralling production, before a final dose of soul-pop clarity. “Its The Truth” is a stirringly hypnotic pop success from start to finish.
