Eddy Mann – “Did I Ever”

/

A newly released track from Philadelphia-based artist Eddy Mann, “Did I Ever” is a memorable love song that ruminates on the power of love — and how it’s vital to express those feelings. Aptly released on Valentine’s Day, the track is another success for Mann, whose career spans over 20 albums. His latest, Turn Up the Divine, has caught our ears in recent months with cuts like “I’m Coming,” “Just Like Jesus,” and “String of Pearls.”

Playful guitar pulses embrace a comforting, melodic vocal presence. “Did I ever let you know, that I really need you so?” they implore, expanding with heartrending cohesion into a twangy guitar expanse. The resonating “did I ever say that I love you?” hook enters there, showing an uptick in vocal vibrancy. A tender guitar solo takes hold as the final minute approaches. A final “did I ever…” series of verses caps off the warming production with satiating effect, approachable and heartfelt in its amiable production.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.

We discovered this release via MusoSoup, as part of the artist’s promotional campaign.
