Ducky Neptune – “Faces”

/

Nashville-based band Ducky Neptune compel on their recent single “Faces,” melding a post-punk guitar pulse and fierce vocal drive for a sound that reminds fondly of Interpol. Recorded in Muscle Shoals, “Faces” excels in its hooky melodic ascent — especially during the twinkling “passing by,” refrain past the one-minute turn. Steady guitars, lush piano, and rhythmic momentum converge thereafter, crafting a memorable sound that induces replays.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
