Dipsea Flower – “Spitfire”

/

Northern California-based band Dipsea Flower strut a jangly, breezy charm throughout their single “Spitfire.” Warming lyrical sentiments — “I like you the way you are,” — combine with a surf-y radiance and disco-touched bass line. “The sun is gonna shine anyway,” the vocals gear into heavier guitar distortion, compelling in the dynamic rock pushes and depictions of an in-love couple driving around Los Angeles.

As the band explains: “At its core, it’s about burning as bright as you can, and leaning on one another to make the most of the good old days while you’re still in them.”

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
