Miami-based artist Di Stefano captivates on his new track “Rendezvous,” infusing spacey synth atmospherics and a funky infectiousness. Showing a French house inspiration, the production thematically captures a dual perspective, of two individuals searching for true connection. A strong Parisian influence is also evident in the vocal work and festive samples. “I got the opportunity to live in Paris for a couple of years and really got to immerse myself with the people, language and culture,” Di Stefano explains. “I fell in love in Paris and so it inspired me to make this song.”
“Rendezvous” succeeds both in conveyances of love and the glow of a city Di Stefano clearly cherishes. A street-like ambience, featuring celebratory sounds from a crowd, build with magnetic intrigue amidst a funky rhythmic pulse and spacey synth integrations. Debonair vocal infusions envelop as galloping percussion rises into another funk-touched mid-point, casting a sensual and nocturnal atmospheric immersion. “Rendezvous” compels with a vibe-heavy appeal, melding electronic atmospherics and funky rhythmic prowess for a stirringly memorable production.
Di Stefano adds: “[“Rendezvous”] is my first release and the first of many more songs of mine to come. I have had the opportunity to travel and listen to music all over the world and so I want to take my audience on a musical journey through the sounds of the world’s many cultures.”
