Andi Fins – “Love It”

/

A suavely melodic production shines on “Love It,” a new track from Berlin-based artist Andi Fins. Showing shades of Talking Heads in its debonair vocals, twanging guitars, and bouncy bass immersion, “Love It” enamors in its enjoyable tonal swell. A spoken-word feeling intrigues within the verses, building into a funkily harmonious chorus. “You would love it,” layered vocals ring out during that magnetic central hook, where plucky guitar tones and mellow keys intertwine with replay-inducing success.

A heady, futuristic lyrical engrossment stirs throughout the track — delivering a meaningful poignancy in the “too many options can be a drag,” line. The information overload of a digital world can be daunting, particularly in its constant barrage of decision-making. Commentary like “there’s a flying cab on the roof,” furthers that sense of quickly appearing technology. Within it all, there’s also a reference to a matrix-like precipice: “you switch between planets / one pinch of stardust / and you’ll pop up somewhere else.” Andi Fins’ “Love It” is an enjoyable earworm with a futuristic/sci-fi tint.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
