Fallnorth – “Bothered”

/

Seattle-based quartet Fallnorth unveil an atmospheric rock immersion on new single “Bothered.” The band describe the track as capturing “the anxiety experienced by young women in a world getting more and more hostile to them every day.” Lushly textured guitars and serene vocal introspection conjure a meditative spell from the get-go, invoking an ’80s nostalgia in the clanging bass and shimmering guitars. Initially wordless vocals expand into a dreamy appeal, then lamenting into a frustrated “sick of reality,” vigor. “Bothered” is a dynamic, emotively gripping rock success from Fallnorth.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
