Dave Violenza – “Shimmering Lullaby”

/

Melbourne-based electronic artist Dave Violenza crafts a glistening, lush entrancement on new single “Shimmering Lullaby,” which sounds precisely as the title implies. Serene keys trickle with seamless cohesion, as a wordless choir-like resonance lingers beneath. A perky, effervescent rise builds momentum into the two-minute turn, where fragments of synths appear sporadically — reminding of moonlight gently illuminating a nighttime forest as night further progresses.

“Shimmering Lullaby” takes inspiration from the birth of Violenza’s second child, Lorenzo. Its wonderous keys/synths and slight baby-sound effects (representing Lorenzo’s first sounds) certainly convey an audible appreciation for the beauty of a new life’s arrival. “Shimmering Lullaby” attains a peaceful ambient and dreamy electronic-pop aesthetic, all while pushing forward an emotively impactful emphasis in the celebration of a new child. Whether you’re a fellow new parent or simply looking to escape into a serene sonic soundscape, “Shimmering Lullaby” is an earworm of a success from Dave Violenza.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
