The Wirelight – “Set Me Down”

/

A heartrending track that emits heartbreak alongside glistening guitars and key-touched illumination, “Set Me Down” is a memorable success from The Wirelight. The project represents the moniker of Atlanta-based musician Lewis Beard, who shows a penchant for satiating structural evolutions and from-the-heart songwriting.

“Show me inside,” his vocals let out during a great example of those expanses, rousing from sleepy introspection into a rousing rock-friendly “best that I can do,” push. “Set Me Down” is an emotively gripping showcase from The Wirelight, with its “if I set you down, don’t set me down too,” refrain sending chills. The track comes via the Acting EP, streaming below:

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
