Stripes – “Forever, It Won’t Change”

/

A raucously melodic rock success from Stripes, “Forever, It Won’t Change” invigorates with pulsing guitar electricity and shout-y vocal charisma. The Brooklyn-based band impressed with the single “So Fucked” last month, and continue to strut an ardent rock appeal with “Forever, It Won’t Change.” “I told you I don’t want to fucking change,” the confident vocals let out, traversing into a “never gonna happen,” glistening with hook-y charisma.

The fantastic track is made even better by cover art featuring a dog named Luna, a beloved friend of the band’s. “She embodies the yearning of the track; she’s an intensely emotional dog,” says singer Izzy MK. Drummer Dave Possehl also adds: “We yearn for love and security in the same way a dog yearns for a tennis ball.”

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Indie Rock. Stream the playlist below:
