Amsterdam-based artist Stefano Rachini compels with an introspective piano-driven sound on The Deepest breath. The solo piano album is a representation of Rachini’s “latest life and artistic experiences,” — in turn capturing a range of emotions and experiences. Emotional connections are amongst the experiences conveyed, resonant on an effort like “Hand in Hand,” where prancing piano leads a heartfelt escalation with warming qualities. Meanwhile, a melancholic sense of appreciation emanates on “Amsterdam,” where bright piano clanging presents a more emotively upfront immersion.

The opening title track is especially riveting, melding steady piano lines with sporadic twinkling additions — building with ample momentum into gorgeously radiant incorporations past mid-point. “Sweet November” follows that with an elegant feeling of appreciation for life’s beauty, “Novembre” caps off the release with an aptly reflective tone. The Deepest Breath is a captivating showcase in fantastic piano performance and songwriting from Stefano Rachini.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Obscure Ambient.

We discovered this release via MusoSoup, as part of the artist’s promotional campaign.
