Saeyers – “Lost at Sea”

/

A solemn rock success from Saeyers, “Lost at Sea” marks a return for the talented project of Marshall Baker. First catching our ears in 2019 with the track “Someday,” Saeyers continues to immerse with an atmospheric rock prowess a half-decade later.

Jangling guitar layers craft a hypnotic composure initially, easing into an elongated vocal lushness that plays seamlessly alongside. “I’m lost at sea,” Baker laments as morose guitar twangs complement the moody mix; the lyrics are heartrending in the expressing giving it all, yet coming up short and feeling adrift. Vocal vulnerabilities, conveying one’s deepest fears and heart-aching, pairs with the chilly guitar trickling for another moving, haunting rock success from Saeyers.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
