My Glass World – “You Can Feel It Coming”

/

Infusing a buzzing foreboding distortion with chilly keys and emergent saxophone, “You Can Feel It Coming” is a riveting single out today from My Glass World. The London-based act caught our ears this past summer with their full-length Assorted Marvels, and continue to impress with another stylish production via “You Can Feel It Coming.” Jamie Telford’s darkly gripping vocal tone pairs with a deeply atmospheric backing, infusing jazzy percussive tones and glistening keys within the undercurrent of nocturnal buzzing.

“You Can Feel It Coming” also dazzles in its moody saxophone playing, courtesy of Sean Read, who has worked with artists like Dexys Midnight Runners, Edwyn Collins, and Dave Gahan and the Soulsavers. The latter is particularly fitting, as Telford’s commanding vocal tone is very much in the realm of Gahan. An atmospheric initial build gears into an immersive second half, featuring the clanging steadiness of keys and rhythms as Read’s ghostly saxophone takes strong hold. “You Can Feel It Coming” comes ahead of a new album from My Glass World entitled Stranded Assets, due to release on March 7th, 2025, via Luxury Noise Records.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
