French band États d’Âme struts a soaring, string-touched rock appeal on their track “The World of Technicolor,” which opens up their new full-length album, Émotions Vives. A poignant theme resonates throughout the single, which beckons to depart our screen-ridden daily routines for greater adventures. Striving for a “perspective for something new,” whilst grabbing hiking books plays with invigorating qualities, particularly upon its arrival into the cathartic chorus: “Come alive in the world of technicolor.”
The exhilarating vocal rise in the chorus is magnetic within themes of personal discovery. A radiant guitar solo furthers the melodic immersion past the two-minute turn. Likewise, ruminating string-laden infectiousness lingers thereafter, into another compelling vocal ascent. “The World of Technicolor” is amongst a multitude of highlights throughout the act’s third album Émotions Vives, which fully showcases États d’Âme’s tendency for high-quality songwriting and emotively gripping heights.
