Electrons in Slow Motion – “Tughra 0.04”

/

Consuming in its array of lush guitar sparkling and spacey synth intrigue, “Tughra 0.04” is a memorable new track from Electrons in Slow Motion. The Bucharest-based visual and conceptual artist melds ambient, electronic, and post-rock inspirations into a sound that’s deep in atmosphere and melodic immersion. Electrons in Slow Motion, which represents the project of Marius Copel, thoroughly impresses with this soundscape-heavy, immersive single.

A steady percussive pit-patter complements melancholic synth lingering to start, gradually accompanied by trickling guitar tones that consume in their sporadic, flourishing cohesion. The burgeoning, spacious synth swells and hypnotic rhythmic backbone pair with the glistening additions for a sound fit for cinematic engrossment; one could easily envision this standout track as an accompaniment for a sci-fi film set in the deep reaches of space. Whether listening on Earth or a distant planet, “Tughra 0.04” enthralls in its atmospheric and melodic developments.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Electronic.
