Col Gerrard – “Come On Over”

/

Presenting a melodic pop and singer/songwriter intertwining, “Come On Over” is a consuming new single from Col Gerrard, an artist presently based in the UK. Living between Vancouver and London throughout his youth, and later moving to Los Angeles at the age of 20, Gerrard’s life experiences and ample travel has inspired a commendable personal mantra: “Whatever it is you want in life, you have to go and get it for yourself.”

Produced by Grammy-nomindated and Brit Award-winning producer Chris Potter, “Come On Over” builds with emotively gripping charm. Lingering organs and radiant piano are complemented by steady guitar flourishes, as Gerrard’s smooth vocals ascend into a memorable hook around the one-minute turn. The “fade away,” bridge excels in its swirling guitars and bouncy bass momentum, culminating in a replay-inducing chorus — “come on over and I will surrender.”

Following acclaimed singled “Sun & Sky” and “You Need Me,” Col Gerrard thoroughly impresses with an approachable, satiating sound in “Come On Over.” The escalated emotion in the title-touting hook melds with introspective verses for an enveloping listening experience. We’re looking forward to seeing what’s in store for the artist throughout 2025.
