Chris Makh – “Synthing”

/

Intended as a tribute to the artist’s love for synths, “Synthing” is a magnetic new track from UK-based artist Chris Makh. “I wrote the song when I purchased my first synth and couldn’t stop playing it,” he explains. A melodic, atmospheric sound impresses throughout — particularly in its guitar-laden infusions; its tones — processed through a Korg MS20. Debonair vocals and bass-y intrigue build enjoyably into a “I just wanna be free,” clamoring — moving into an escalating distortion-friendly foreboding. The guitar tones across the second half envelop, concluding with a feverish captivation.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
