Buddy Wynkoop – “Cleanest Dirty Shirt”

/

A standout rocker from Buddy Wynkoop, “Cleanest Dirty Shirt” represents a single from the band’s upcoming LP, Better Than Botox, out in February. Warming, jangly guitar tones complement initial “had a dream, prompting for personal goals; the serene initial disposition arises thereafter into escalated emotion.

“I sometimes, just struggle,” a shout-ier disposition then presents, reminding fondly of throwback The Pixies in the seamless range between more glistening introspective and punk-friendly vigor. Jumpy guitars and vocal ferocity traverses across the mid-point, into re-emergences of both the initial jangly beauty and subsequent punchy passion. “Cleanest Dirty Shirt” is an infectious success from the band, whose upcoming LP we’re certainly anticipating.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
