Los Angeles-based band BREAKS conjures a yearning rock invigoration on new single “Come Back Now.” The lyrical narrative exudes a plea for one’s beloved to return, and stirs in its blend of ardent guitar pushes and escalating vocals. A moody post-punk bass and whirring guitar momentum envelops, especially, within the title-touting hook. It’s an impressive overall showing from BREAKS, which comprises Damo Goyenechea on vocals, Nikkoli Kade on bass, Cameron Stephens on guitar, and Garret Henritz on drums.
