and.ree – ‘I want beauty I want love’ EP

A dreamy vocal drive emits a title-touting refrain as jangling guitars and hypnotic vocal reflections linger underneath; it doesn’t take long for and.ree to showcase a tendency for riveting atmospheric engrossment. “The Call Do Do Do” follows with similarly immersive qualities, weaving stutter-y keys and a buzzing bass intrigue into a playfully lush central hook. Graceful piano and melodic vocals pair for a memorable impact there.

The EP continues to shine throughout, particularly with “Spoil It All.” Spacey synths and steady acoustics complement a chilling vocal presence, traversing into the “spoil it all,” soaring with seamless entrancement. “Don’t touch it anymore,” they caution as calming piano interplays with plucky bass and magnetic synth work. “Shaman” concludes the EP in riveting from, embracing a jazz-touched percussive flair alongside the caressing vocal magic. and.ree thoroughly impresses across this EP.
