Karavay – “Dark Side of the Mountain”

//

A folk-forward mystique takes hold on “Dark Side of the Mountain,” a recently released track from Karavay. The Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter shows a commanding sound, melding emotive lyricism with a cinematic-friendly folk grandiosity, with lingering orchestral components amidst a twangy guitar assortment.

“I wanna bathe in your dirt,” smitten, vulnerable lyrical disposition combines with a cinematic folk feeling, arising into thumping rhythmic momentum around the three-minute turn and culminating in a satiating rock soaring. The evolution from brass-touched, western-film nostalgia into the riveting rock allure is enthralling.
