Jean-Philippe Ruelle – “Callpeax”

Belgian electronic artist Jean-Philippe Ruelle struts an eclectic tonal range on new track “Callpeax,” spanning seamlessly from lush captivation into percussively heavy invigoration. The track draws inspiration from numbers stations, using that enigmatic format to call for peace — emitting the message “Dare For Peace” within an atmospherically gripping ascent.

“Callpeax” immediately envelops with its atmospheric engrossment. Spacey synth buzzing and sporadic rhythmic throbs assemble for an intriguing open. Whispered vocals linger underneath, adding to the hypnotic and otherworldly effect. A more playful demeanor arises as twinkling piano and brass-y adornments intertwine, showcasing a dynamic appeal from initial synth-forward haunts into a more organic downtempo pop display. Added effervescence at the two-minute mark builds with momentum into a rhythmically bustling finale, cementing “Callpeax” as a memorable success.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Electronic. Stream the playlist below:
