Jaewon – “Til’ You Don’t”

//

“Til’ You Don’t” is the latest from Jaewon, an artist from Chicago who explores “international infidelity and heartbreak,” on this memorable release. A mellow mixture of soft acoustic strums and glimmering keys complement a serene vocal introspection. “So far removed, that sand in my shoes,” they let out, arising into thumping bass and lingering organs within the “in case you come down,” rise.

“I won’t care ’til you don’t baby,” Jaewon’s heartfelt vocals emit during the gripping chorus, complemented by a backing ghostly vocal reflection — and culminating in a beautiful trumpet adornment, bringing listeners back into the balmier, contemplative verses. “Til’ You Don’t” is another melodic, inviting success from Jaewon, impressing last year with the track “Soothsayer.”

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
