Duz Mancini – “Rocket Out to Spain”

/

A debonair alt-pop success from New Orleans-based artist Duz Mancini, “Rocket Out to Spain” consumes in its melodic ascent from bass-heavy suaveness into a sweetly twinkling chorus. “Another flight delay,” the vocals shrug during those debonair verses, reminding fondly of Beck in the “to remind me,” multi-vocal layering and drive into effervescent approachability. “Is it something you were used to?” the vocals question amidst twangy guitars and light dashes of keys, enamoring throughout in its seamless blend between the “I feel exactly how I choose to,” ethereal charms and momentum-filled rise.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
