The Duskwhales – “Please & Thank You”

/

“Please & Thank You” is a stirring track from The Duskwhales, a psych-pop delight written as a thank-you to a fantastic support system. “This song was written after finding out I was cancer-free after six months of intense treatment as a thank you to my support network of amazing medical professions, family, and friends,” the artist explains.

“Spring is coming, the heart attack’s over,” the enchanting vocals open, showing a clear sense of relief following tumult. “There’s so much to give thanks for,” they continue, into harmonious prancing with audible gratitude and playful acoustic/bass intermingling. The “I want to thank you my friend,” refrain is heartrending, particularly in the context of the song’s role as a giant thank-you message to those involved in the recovery process.

The track comes via the project’s new album Strawflower Lane, streaming below:

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
