Strange Matter – “Somebody”

/

Strange Matter show a compelling sound on new single “Somebody,” where twangy guitars complement a soaring vocal appeal with melodic, replay-inducing immersion. “I want you to hold me, ’cause I miss the feeling,” the vocals yearn initially, beckoning for awakening as hooky guitars enter alongside. The bursting guitar expressions and emotive vocals pair throughout with consuming impact, showing doses of vulnerability in the contexts of relationships — “doesn’t always gotta be exciting, and I think that’s okay,” — within the memorably melodic sound.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
