Riddle M – “Falling On Off”

/

Chicago-based artist Riddle M shows a lo-fi rock charm throughout their new album Lo Stereo, out today. Among its highlights is the track “Falling On Off,” which melds twangy guitars, jumpy bass, and debonair vocals with peppy, infectious appeal. A title-repeating immersion brings the production into a satiating close, following a fun first half with sporadic rhythms and guitar twangs reminding fondly of Travis Bretzer; it marks one of multiple successes throughout Lo Stereo, who notes that “Falling On Off” was recorded “on a tascam 4 track with an 80s drum machine and a telephone mic.”
