Hazy Jane – “Resonant Hum”

/

Amongst the numerous standouts on Hazy Jane‘s new album Half the Drugstore, “Resonant Hum” compels in its soaring rock and folk appeal — invoking a ’70s nostalgia in the rising guitar twangs and harmonious vocal reflections. The “universal frequency,” mid-point is especially thrilling, propelling forward with climactic vigor amidst interchanging bursting guitars and vocal harmonies.

Also featuring Philadelphia-based guitarist Chris Forsyth, Half the Drugstore takes particular influence from Neil Young’s classic album After the Gold Rush — with the album title for the Hazy Jane album being an anagram of Young’s album.
