“She” is a dreamy new single from Esdaile State, the project of Glasgow-based songwriter and producer Stuart McInnes. Serene guitar tones, trickling effects, and wordless vocal lushness drives into a smitten vocal lead: “she comes dancing through the room like sunshine.” The lyrics and gorgeous instrumentation artfully depict a moment when one witnesses the human equivalent of a “shining star inside my daydream,” clearly in adoration as dream-pop and shoegaze intertwine with nostalgic, warming captivation.
