bloom effect – “Presente”

/

Vancouver-based band bloom effect enthrall with the hazy rock success “Presente,” presenting a climactic evolution from dreamy intrigue into shoegaze-friendly textured vigor. The burst of guitar distortion in the rising moments pair with invigorated Spanish-singing vocals, which cohesively navigate from lusher introspection into a soaring passion. Jula Lafit’s dynamic vocals consume alongside the evolving tones from guitarist Craig Weighman, while Tom Rappa’s drumming maintains a steadily enveloping appeal.

The track comes via the band’s upcoming EP, Portents. Fittingly, considering the band’s atmospheric sound, the release comes alongside beautiful artwork, created by Weighman. Each of the EP’s singles has its own unique color, and when the four singles are overlaid an image of the “Portent” appears. The band is clearly on the rise with this riveting track, and also a confirmed spot at the 2026 Automatic Shoegaze Festival in Amsterdam.

We discovered this release via MusoSoup, as part of the artist’s promotional campaign.
