XXU & UXX – “Touch”

/

Ghostly vocals, haunting sporadic pianos, and a buzzing ambience lead a climactically dark appeal on “Touch,” a new track from XXU & UXX. The San Francisco-based project embraces horror-jazz inspirations within the intoxicating aesthetic, describing further a thematic narrative: “a victim of violence takes a celestial view of their betrayal, arriving at forgiveness through bird’s-eye understanding.” The production stirs in its transitioning between spine-tingling sparseness and industrial-friendly buzzing, while the vocals emit a chilly entrancement throughout.

The act comprises LeeAnn Perry (XXU) and Amy Braun (UXX). “Touch” comes via their forthcoming album, [channel].

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
