New Jersey-based artist Woodstone impress on two new singles, exuding a punchy rock/pop intertwining on “RIDE MY WAVE” and “CASTLES.” The former begins with a synth-y intrigue, melding seamlessly into jangling guitar briskness. “Ride my wave, all day, all night,” the contagious chorus exudes, describing the healing qualities of love into a funky mid-part guitar segment. “CASTLES” is another success, expressing a soulful vocal character into an affecting “where is your mind?” hooky outpouring.
