The Suburbs – “Buckle My Head”

/

A funky bass pulse, vocal charisma, and brass-laden excitement converge on “Buckle My Head,” a contagious new single from Minnesota-based group The Suburbs. The enthusiastic single comes via their seventh studio album, Poets Party. A stylish lyric video also releases alongside “Buckle My Head,” making fervent sing-alongs easier amidst the scorching-hot musicians visualized.

“I can’t ever give it up,” the vocals progress into the title-touting hook. Suave swipes of guitars complement the steady rhythm section, propelled by a bouncy bass ardency. The brass arrangements flourish especially past the first minute, persisting thereafter in infectious form. A percussion-ready segment into the second minute furthers the momentum, into a satiating close where the instrumentation and vocals converge for a final blast-off. “Buckle My Head” is a replay-inducing earworm from The Suburbs.
