Sea Foam Grey – “Suspension”

/

Unveiling a memorable rock drive reminiscent of Talking Heads, “Suspension” is a new track from Sea Foam Grey, a band based in The Hague with post-punk and rock inclinations. The track marks their third single, and comes via their debut EP, Machine in Flames. “The theme of the EP and the track of the same name were inspired by a documentary that tells the story of French computer scientists who destroyed computers in the 1980s because they began to see them as instruments of control and oppression,” the band explains.

“Suspension” is described by the project as “about boredom and isolation. The voices in your head that torment you and the fear of breaking the routine.” The verses strut a particular resemblance to Talking Heads in the steady vocal tone and reflective guitars, while the chorus gears up with emotively brooding entrancement, reflective of a darkening post-punk fervency. “Suspension” is a standout success with both melodic and stylish immersion, representing one of numerous highlights across the EP.
