Reliable Child – “Love Goes”

///

Seamlessly melding folk-ready introspection and spacey synth intrigue, “Love Goes” is a stirring new track from Reliable Child. The project of Pittsburgh-born artist Mike Berginc, Reliable Child impresses with a modern take on folk — incorporating flourishing electronic aspects within a familiarly inviting vocal presence and acoustic-laden backbone. “Love Goes” is described as “an expressive view of the whimsical nature of love in all its power.”

Vibrant electronic components initially complement a vocal presence, wary of giving up control, though asking “tell me how you’re feeling,” as the inviting folk elements converge. The guitars and synths converge seamlessly during the affecting chorus, traversing seamlessly into the “living in the city, dreaming in the country,” verses. “Love Goes” is a memorable success from Reliable Child.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
