Psych-O-Positive – “Lipstick”

“I left a lipstick in my pocket and it went through the dryer yesterday,” vocals let out amidst twangy guitars on “Lipstick,” an intriguing and artfully hypnotic single from Psych-O-Positive. The project notes the release as exploring “themes of chagrin and longing through meandering melody lines, balmy harmonies, and broken music box vibes.” Wordless vocal affections complement the free-flowing guitar warmness thereafter, following the title-referencing humorous description with meditative engrossment. Relatable and enjoyably dazed, “Lipstick” is an enamoring output from Psych-O-Positive.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
