OHNomad – “Universal Connection: Danielle”

/

“Universal Connection: Danielle” is a heartfelt new track — showcasing a mediative, hypnotic blend of piano illumination and intertwining flute and clarinet. The track comes via artist OHNomad and flutist Ann Kuo. Recorded in Los Angeles, “Universal Connection: Danielle” speaks to the interconnectivity between each and every person, with a particular reflection on a recent tragedy.

“Nothing in the world stands by itself. Every object is a link in an endless chain – we are in an infinite web of connections,” OHNomad explains. “This piece is dedicated to my friend, in memory of his daughter Danielle. Danielle was tragically kidnapped in a Hamas attack at the Supernova Music Festival. Drawing from Jewish musical traditions and tonality, the flute symbolizes Danielle, while the clarinet embodies her father. The interplay of these two instruments illustrates the profound bond between father and daughter.”

Beautiful piano works leads with mystique as flutes and clarinet emerge steadily, sending chills upon their first convergence around the 40-second mark. The piano maintains a steady backbone, while the two woodwinds mingle with an emotive enthrallment. An introspective, lusher sequence past mid-point drives enjoyably into an expressive finale, frolicking with enjoyment as the relationship’s bond is expressed in gorgeously audible form.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.

We discovered this release via MusoSoup, as part of the artist’s promotional campaign.
