Inochka – “Mango-Flavored”

/

A new single from Estonian artist Inochka, “Mango-Flavored” enamors in its laid-back piano-pop serenity and memories of first loves. Piano and percussion lead the subdued instrumentation, showcasing a lo-fi charm in its emphasis of the vocals and its overall steadiness, with spine-tingling moments of emotional fervency. Dreamy pop and lo-fi hip-hop elements converge on this atmospheric pop delight from Inochka.

Mellow, lounge-set piano and ethereal vocals provide immediate entrancement. “We always tuned into the radio,” the vocals let out, its past-tense exuding a tinge of yearning as the “what once was,” bass-laden expanse commences. Further references to “memories lost,” complement the dreamy instrumentation with compelling emotiveness. The vocals escalate at points past the two-minute turn, followed by twinkling piano and lo-fi hip-hop percussive intrigue. “Mango-Flavored” is a melodic, serene showing from Inochka.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
